The Beatitude Project: Salt Lake City

  • Clubhouse 850 East South Temple Salt Lake City, UT 84102 (map)

"The Beatitude Project" is an interdisciplinary art project fusing the live performance of "Beatitude", the debut album of NYC-based musician, Donovan Taylor, with the inspiring visual portraits and videography of Ty Mecham. This project grew from Donovan’s desire to share his mental health journey while extending the message of healing past himself and to those around him. Ty captures the stories of several other individuals who had the courage to share their own journey with mental health. Using multi-colored light in his portraits, Ty encourages the audience to view mental health in a new light - as a single layer of one’s multifaceted, beautiful life. In this project you will hear and see stories of vulnerability and bravery and you will experience first hand that “blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be comforted”.

Following the performance there will be an opportunity to browse and purchase merchandise, meet the band members, and view/purchase original Ty Mecham art.

This project is on tour throughout 2026 and will be performing at several not-for-profit locations, such as hospitals and prisons. We have partnered with Fractured Atlas (https://fundraising.fracturedatlas.org/the-beatitude-project) to collect donations to fund these special performances. Please consider donating, as this project cannot continue without your help. Thank you!

Note: Children in attendance must be mature enough to sit through the entirety of the show. There will be mention of mental health related issues such as suicide and depression.
