Great Salt Lake Community Forum

  • Clubhouse 850 East South Temple Salt Lake City, UT 84102 (map)

Join us for an evening of community dialogue, education, and connection focused on one of the most pressing issues facing the Great Salt Lake: dust. As the lake shrinks, exposed lakebed threatens public health with toxic dust storms — but there are solutions, and your voice matters.

This forum brings together two of the leading experts on Great Salt Lake and the toxic lakebed dust polluting our air: Ecosystem Ecologist Dr. Ben Abbott of BYU, and Atmospheric Scientist Dr. Kevin Perry of the University of Utah.

After brief presentations from each expert, audience members will be given the opportunity to ask questions directly to the experts, who will share their knowledge on the impacts of Great Salt Lake dust and discuss meaningful actions we can take.

Pizza and light refreshments provided.

All are welcome. RSVP below to help us plan seating and snacks.

Let’s come together to protect our health and our home.
